The Finnish sports shoe brand Karhu has been in the business for over 100 years. The company was founded in 1916 under the name of Ab Sportartiklar Oy, and its original product range consisted of discuses and javelins. But it co-developed its first running shoes even back then. In the 1920s, the name was changed to Karhu, which means "bear" in Finnish. Fun fact: the company designed a trademark with three stripes, which was then sold to a German company called Adidas in 1952. But even today, Karhu has no need to hide behind major brands because the label's collections never fail to deliver new features based on independent ideas. We like!
